Rocky Takes the Garden State: Local Food Recommendations & General Guide
COMING FROM THE AIRPORT?
Flying into Newark International Airport? It’s about 28 mi to the hotel and an easy way onto the NJ Turnpike. There is also a NJ Transit stop right at the airport.
JFK International Airport? It’s about 53 mi away and you have a couple options. By car? You can get there via I-278 and take the Verrazano bridge, which will get you towards I-527. Train? You can take the LIRR train towards NY Penn Station, where you can find a NJ Transit on the Northeast Corridor line.
Atlantic City International Airport? It’s about 108 mi away and a straight shot up the Garden State Parkway.
SO.. YOU'RE ROAD TRIPIN' WITH YOUR FRIENDS?
If you are going I-87 North or Southbound, exit 10 would be the best typically but exit 12 can also get you there depending on rush hour traffic.
If you are coming from the NJ Turnpike, it is exit 9 to get to Rt 18. You’ll want to go towards Rt 18/County Hwy-527 toward New Brunswick.
Coming from the west? Best route is I-78 E toward NJ and take exit 29 for 287.
Coming south or the jersey shore *wink*? NJ Turnpike and take 127 for 287.
BUS/TRAIN?
The closest NJ Transit station is New Brunswick on the Northeast Corridor line. It is about 6 miles away or 10-15 minute Uber/Lyft ride. Amtrak also comes through this stop.
